Accessibility

What we have done, what we have not done yet, and how to tell us when we get it wrong.

Before you trade. These policies are written to reflect UK consumer and data-protection law and are ready to use once you insert your company number, VAT number, registered address and payment provider. They are not legal advice. Have a solicitor review them against your actual operations before you take your first order.

1. Our commitment

We want everyone to be able to use crimsonluis.co.uk, whatever device or assistive technology they use. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, and we treat accessibility as part of the design work rather than a fix applied afterwards.

We also have duties under the Equality Act 2010 to make reasonable adjustments so that disabled people are not put at a substantial disadvantage.

2. What we have built in

  • Every page can be operated by keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a skip link to the main content.
  • All animation is disabled automatically when your device requests reduced motion.
  • Text scales without breaking the layout, and the site reflows down to a 320px viewport.
  • Colour contrast is tested against WCAG AA for body text and interface controls.
  • Images that carry meaning have alternative text; decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers.
  • Form fields have real labels and errors are described in words, not by colour alone.
  • The bag and dialogs announce themselves to assistive technology and close with the Escape key.

3. Known limitations

  • The astrolabe on the home page is decorative and is not described in detail to screen readers; no information is lost, as everything it represents is written out in the collection pages.
  • Third-party payment pages are controlled by our payment provider and we cannot guarantee their conformance. We will only work with providers who publish an accessibility statement.

4. Tell us if something does not work

If you cannot use part of this site, email care@crimsonluis.co.uk with the page and what happened. We aim to reply within one working day and to fix accessibility defects ahead of other work. If you would rather order by telephone, call +44 20 7946 0000 and we will take the order for you.

5. Review

This statement was prepared in August 2026 and is reviewed whenever the site changes substantially, and at least once a year.
