Cookie notice

Exactly which files we place on your device, and how to get rid of them.

Before you trade. These policies are written to reflect UK consumer and data-protection law and are ready to use once you insert your company number, VAT number, registered address and payment provider. They are not legal advice. Have a solicitor review them against your actual operations before you take your first order.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels and tags. This notice covers all of them.

Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) we may only set non-essential cookies with your consent. Essential cookies may be set without consent because the service you asked for cannot work without them.

2. What we use

Note for launch. The rows in brackets are placeholders. Add the exact cookie names and durations used by your analytics and payment providers before you go live — naming them is a legal requirement, not a courtesy.

3. Changing your mind

Clear this site's data in your browser settings and the banner will appear again on your next visit, letting you choose differently. You can also block or delete cookies entirely through your browser — though blocking essential cookies will stop the bag and checkout from working.

Instructions are published by each browser maker: Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge all provide them in their help pages.

4. Third-party cookies

Some cookies are set by other companies whose services appear on our pages — our payment provider, and our analytics provider if you consent. We do not control those cookies, and you should read the relevant company's own notice.

5. More information

The Information Commissioner's Office publishes guidance on cookies at ico.org.uk. Questions about our use of them: privacy@crimsonluis.co.uk.
